I’m 20 years old and a fifth year BS Economics and BS Accountancy student from De La Salle University (DLSU). I am also a part time telemarketer in DLSU. I love to mingle with people and I love to make new acquaintances and friends. Apart from selling online, what do you do? Since I am almost graduating, most of the time I do my thesis. I mostly surf the net for random stuff but usually I surf about health related matters and how to gain weight because I am sort if underweight for my height. What first made you want to become an online seller? I was originally an online buyer. I am not really a shopaholic though but I am an impulsive buyer. I knew that online selling might be a good way to earn money so I decided to be an online seller on November 24, 2009; VainGirl Online Shop was born. What accessory do you most cherish? I do not actually use make up a lot and I seldom wear accessories to school. But I do cherish the ring my boyfriend gave me. www… What advice would you give to Filipinos who are new to Online Store Business? Be ready to devote your time and effort into your online business because it is almost as tough as having a real business. Be nice to clients although some of them may be very rude and demanding; always remember that patience is a virtue. As for advertisements, make use of sites like Shopfinder.ph, Multiply.com, and Sulit.com.ph to boost up your sales. What new features would you like to see on Shopfinder.ph? I think Shopfinder.ph has everything a seller or buyer would need. I think I only have one suggestion to give. Please embed an Order Form in the site so it would be more convenient for us sellers and also for our buyers. How do you promote your products? I make use of sites like Shopfinder.ph, Multiply.com, and Sulit.com.ph to boost up my sales. These are the only sites I use. In ten years, where would you like to be? In ten years, I think I would be an officer in an international bank and I would also a part time business woman. I think I would still own my online shop and hopefully by then I would already have an actual store where people can personally see my products. |

My passion in jewelry making and design started in 2001 when my mom and I ran a small jewelry business. I designed and handcrafted all the pieces in the Cryst Jewelries' collection and my online store specializes in providing clients with elegant and one-of-a-kind jewelries. Apart from selling online, what do you do? I am full-time in running the online store – from designing and handcrafting the pieces, marketing and helping clients with their orders. What first made you want to become an online seller? Back in 2006, when my husband and I temporarily moved to the US, I always stayed at home because my visa does not allow me to work. Since I always have lots of free time, I started to study new jewelry making techniques and also studied how to sell products online. The first advice I would like give is to find what you are passionate about because starting an online business is hard. So to get through difficult times you must find what you love and enjoy doing. The next advice I would give is always give your 100% to your client - provide them with a very good customer service and high quality products, they are the reason why the business exists in the first place, so treat them well. What new features would you like to see on Shopfinder.ph? The feature I would like to see is the statistics on how many users have viewed my profile. Overall/total views is fine, but monthly statistics would be great. How do you promote your products? I post information about my business and products to social networking sites (Facebook, Multiply, Twitter and Friendster). I also post information about my business and products to free directories, advertising sites and appropriate forums. In ten years, where would you like to be? Ten year from now, I want Cryst Jewelries to be the first destination of clients seeking elegant and one-of-kind jewelries. But for now, what is important is that I'm enjoying what I do, and that is designing and handcrafting jewelries and seeing how my clients appreciate my work – their wonderful feedback and their smiles are priceless. |
